Brief & strategy

The Jeeni team needed help building a brand strategy, name and visual identity for the launch of their product at the Care Show in the N.E.C on the 13th of October 2022.

Klutch we conducted several workshops with the client to gather information and create a brand strategy that priorities housekeepers at the core of the brand. The strategy aimed to empower them to become advocates for the product and brand by improving the efficiency and ease of their work tasks, while enabling digital recording. The character of the brand driven by the ‘Hero’ archetype.

Inspiration & approach

The Jeeni character, inspired by the hero brand archetype, is a playful take on a genie, and serves as a unique and memorable representation of the brand. We designed the brand identity to stand out from competitors, with a vibrant colour palette and sparkling expressions that capture the magic and sparkle of Jeeni's services. The identity was built around an interactive task list grid, which allows users to easily tick off items as they're completed throughout the day.

This project was, as always, a collaboration. My role in the process was crucial in refining the visual elements, including the colour palette and illustrative elements, and finalising the rules in collaboration with the art director before creating the brand guidelines.

On the print side, I designed the business stationery and event banner. In the digital realm, I made several amendments to the mobile website and created their branded PowerPoint template. Additionally, I art-directed the brand product animation, illustrated various elements (including the homey character), wrote and artworked the storyboard, and helped select the soundtrack for the animation.

I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project and utilising so many design skills to bring the brand to life. It was both fun and rewarding.

Outcome

The Jeeni team received positive feedback from their customers in just the first few weeks after launch. With this brand strategy and visual identity in place, Jeeni is well-positioned to launch and grow its business in the social care market, providing a valuable solution for housekeeping teams and care homes.
